Yesterday during CSKA’s trip to Norilsk, PBC CSKA general director Sergei Kushchenko and team captain Evgeniy Pashutin came to an agreement regarding the completion of Pashutin’s playing career and the beginning of his coaching career as Dusan Ivkovic’s assistant coach. Pashutin already has a five-year contract. Here’s what Evgeniy had to say to our web site:
"The playing part of my life is coming to an end, and I’m happy that it’s happening at CSKA. I’ve already said that I’m happy to have won the Russian championship. It was a nice way to go out. I would like to thank once again Sergey Kushchenko and Dusan Ivkovic for this past season. They weren’t scared to invite me and they trusted me over the course of the season. I would also like to thank my teammates and the CSKA fans. Their support helped a lot. Regarding my new job, I will try to use all of my knowledge and ability to help the team."
