Our team’s forward Will Clyburn is just another candidate to be named to the EuroLeague All-Decade Team.

Explosive, smooth and possessing a very high basketball IQ, Will Clyburn quickly went from an unknown to one of the most dominant forwards in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He made his EuroLeague debut with Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul in 2016 and led his team to the EuroLeague Playoffs for the first time by averaging 13.0 points and 5.1 rebounds. His great season led CSKA Moscow to sign him to a multi-year deal in 2017.

After an up-and-down 2017-18 season, in which he averaged 12.3 points and a performance index rating of 15.5 in the playoffs, but just 9.0 points and a PIR of 2.5 in the Final Four, Clyburn found consistency in his game, becoming a difference-maker. He was voted to the All-EuroLeague First Team for the 2018-19 season, scoring in double digits in 28 of 35 games to average 13.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and a PIR of 17.5.

Once at the 2019 Final Four in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Clyburn had 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead CSKA past Real Madrid in the semifinals. He did even better – with 20 points, 4-for-6 three-point shooting and 5 rebounds – in CSKA’s title-game victory against Anadolu Efes Istanbul. For his efforts, Clyburn was voted the 2019 Final Four MVP. His ambitions to help CSKA repeat were interrupted by injury this season, but Clyburn’s status as a new EuroLeague star is assured.
