Spartak St.Petersburg vs. CSKA: 83-81 (-2)
Jonas Kazlauskas, CSKA head coach:
The opponents played well, smart. They deserved the victory. I see my reasons in this loss and I take full responsibility. I think I’ve made it difficult for the team and Andrei. We were in good rhythm, and we missed this rhythm tonight. Probably it was to early to use him now, but this is his city, his friends are on the stands. Besides, I think it was too deep in players’ minds that if we win without Kirilenko it will be much easier with him. It led to less activity, worse defense. Spartak shot well but we had to defend better on a perimeter. I also expected more from our ‘bigs’ to compensate it. We missed injured Vorontsevich. Partly because of that I used Kirilenko as 3 and 4, complicating the game for him and the team.
