The meeting with Lokomotiv-Kuban appeared to be split by less than a month in the schedule. Our team defeated hosts in the final game of the RZD Cup in Krasnodar in the end of September. CSKA took the Transaero flight again today to face Loko in VTB United League game.

“Surely, we have to forget the previous game here,” – CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas said. “At the time they have just started their preparations, they signed other players since than, our roster have changed also. In my opinion, Lokomotiv have become even stronger this year, adding more power on the perimeter and inside. Besides they always play better on their home court. I think the difficult game awaits us. At the same time I expect our team to be not that relaxed as it was in the game against Nymburk.”

12 players went to Krasnodar to participate in CSKA’s debut on the brand new Basket Hall. Darius Lavrinovic who heals his back as well as Sammy Mejia and Dmitry Sokolov were left in Moscow.
