Two games to start the year 2012 were kind of workouts for our team. But three next games will be way more serious. For the beginning army men will be examined by Lietuvos Rytas in Vilnius in VTB United League game.

CSKA already played against the club from Lithuanian capitol this season, or to be more correct, this preseason. During training camp CSKA in shorthanded roster defeated Rytas who also did not use the help from several key players.

“In means of roster Lietuvos Rytas is the Euroleague team”, - CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas said. “Therefore the game is important not only in means of standings but also for maintaining the level, for preparation to the game against Olympiakos next week. The game against Rytas was not easy for us in Moscow, where it was even for three quarters and a half. Besides the Vilnius side is like the wounded lion right now, because they lost to perennial opponent Zalgiris this past weekend. They will surely try to rehabilitate themselves in front of numerous fans. I would like to mention also that I am glad to have all our injured and ill players back.”

Army men are in fact do not have any players out anymore. It was coach’s decision to leave Nikita Kurbanov, Sammy Mejia and Dmitry Sokolov in Moscow.
