In the Game 3 of the Euroleague Top 16 our team will face Galatasaray Medical Park. The Turkish team flew to Moscow to play army men for the first time ever and its trip has become adventurous.

It is hard to believe but the oldest Turkish club, one of the most successful team in the country, has never met CSKA. The first time ever required some patience. The team’s flight to Moscow was cancelled due to snow in Istanbul, and the next flight was delayed for one hour. The delay has shaken the schedule and the Turkish team decided to skip its evening practice.

“Though Galatasaray made it to the Euroleague through qualification, you have to respect the team”, – CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas said. “Many of its players like Lakovic, Lucas, Shumpert have a lot of Euroleague experience, including Final Four and title games. Maybe it is difficult to play the course of the long season for some of the veteran players but they are able to shine on any given night and we have to remember this. Galatasaray proved to be dangerous – they defeated Lietuvos Rytas in qualifiers, managed to beat Olympiacos at home last week. That’s why we have to forget about our big win in Krasnodar and to expect serious fight.”

In Moscow frost our team is aimed not to provide the visitors with warm welcome. CSKA leads the Euroleague in scoring and index ranking, but it also improves on defense game by game. Besides CSKA does not have injured players and the lineup will be the game-time decision for coaching staff.
