CSKA vs. Galatasaray (Turkey): 85-70 (+15)
Jonas Kazlauskas, CSKA head coach:
The game proved once again that there are no weak teams in Top 16. Probably the spectators expected the opponent to be not so powerful, but Galatasaray played good, it proved to be well-organized, strong team. I told the media, and Istanbul team showed it: maybe they don’t have the stars like Spanoulis or Vujacic but they show great team basketball and they can make you to have problems. I can say it again that if we win by 20 tonight, it does not mean we will win by 30 tomorrow and by 50 a day after tomorrow. We will face much stronger teams in future. We are working hard to improve our game, sometimes we have bad minutes, but we had a lot of good moments tonight both on offense and defense where we blocked shots, made the shot clock expire. As for Khryapa I can definitely say that he had little chances to play until March. And it is very bad, because he was in excellent shape.
Oktay Mahmuti, Galatasaray MP head coach:
My congratulations to CSKA. We tried to compete but the opponents controlled the game in the course of all 40 minutes. They have more talent, athleticism and size which were the main reason to get the win.
