Our team’s 3-game road trip started with the visit to Pardubice. Army men boarded Transaero charter flight to visit Czech Republic where they are scheduled to face Nimburk in VTB League game.

Victor Khryapa, Andrey Kirilenko, Nenad Krstic and Milos Teodosic stayed home for different reasons.

“It’s a matter of numerous circumstances”, - CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas explained. “Some of the guys needed rest, some have minor health problems, some have to resolve personal issues. Besides we are starting the long road trip. I have foreseen this situation and I am glad that we can use our confident leadership in VTB League to try the players who do not receive much playing time usually. This is especially important, taking into consideration our future games with UNICS and Bilbao. Pretty sure, that we will have difficult game in Czech Republic. Nimburk is a good team which qualified for the Eurocup playoffs. It has several very good players individually, they used to play one on one a lot. I think it will be nervous, but that’s part of my work.”

Because nobody is injured in the list of CSKA stars left in Moscow, they will continue regular preparation process. Assistant coach Giannis Sferopoulos and athletic coach Evaldas Kandratavicius stayed home to coordinate the practices.
