Though our team’s position in BEKO PBL standings is not set yet, the game against Krasnye Krylia in USH CSKA on Friday cannot influence final status quo.

“The question of the first place in the regular season will be decided against Khimki at home next Tuesday”, - CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas said. “Therefore the game with Samara can be used for preparation. The most important part of the season is ahead of us – we have to play in VTB League and Euroleague Final Fours except for the Khimki game. So we will try to use the upcoming game to try some new things and to polish our game.”

Jamont Gordon and Nenad Krstic will miss the game. Gordon continues to rehabilitate after the ankle injury. Krstic, who practices individually, passed the scheduled tests on Thursday. Well-known traumotologists Prof. Andrey Korolev and Prof. Andrey Kardanov confirmed that there is no serious damage to center’s left pinkie toe. Serbian player will be back to team practices in the coming days.

Ramunas Siskauskas participated in part on team practice on Thursday. His status as well as status of Andrey Kirilenko, who missed the trip to Vladivostok because of back pains, will be known on a game day.
