The gold is back!

For the third year in a row our club's junior team met Lokomotiv-Kuban-2 in Russian League final and got the win finally.

"We played very respectably for all year long", - CSKA-2 head coach Andrey Maltsev said. "We overcame serious mental load, did a big amount of work, and that allowed us to improve during the season. I am glad for the guys who worked for this victory for the years, because the team's kernel, the guys born in 1991 won the JBL championship... They showed their best qualities, they were patient despite the difficulties of the final tournament. We won the quarterfinal in OT, than we dealt with tremendous focus of Spartak, and demonstrated tremendous desire to win in the final. Ivan Strebkov is named Final 8 MVP and best guard, Artem Komolov named best forward. But I don't want to single out anyone. Bychkov, Barinov, Korshakov, Gudumak - everyone played great in crucial moments. Those who did not play much also helped a lot. I would like to congratulate everyone."
