Michael Slepoy, Melbourne Tigers CEO, visited our club and had a meeting with Natalia Furaeva, CSKA Vice President, Sports, to discuss the perspectives of cooperation between the clubs.

Mr. Slepoy is the co-owner of the big telecommunication company in Australia who started to manage one of the oldest clubs in the country (est. 1931) this year. He declared his interest to pick up the experience of the best representatives in the basketball industry.

"Our company was one of the Tigers' sponsors so it was painful for us to envision the financial and sports crisis the team experienced past three seasons", - Michael Slepoy said. "Therefore we decided to take over the club and we bought the controlling block of its shares out of the previous owners. We moved the administration to our company's office to use our management and marketing potential to make the next step in basketball. We are very enthusiastic and ready for the changes. We hired the hew head coach - Chris Anstey who is well-known to the Russian fans for his play in Ural-Great and UNICS. We plan to play in the bigger arena - the venue which hosts the Australian Open. We follow CSKA work through internet and use the Russian club's experience in our activities."
