Virtus Bologna – CSKA: 61-70 (+9)
The game took place in Modena. CSKA coaching staff decided to rest Sonny Weems who has minor injury. Besides both sides missed National Teams' players: Teodosic, Krstic and Erceg in CSKA, Gigli and Poeta for Virtus.

We started not so well but it is easy to explain - we got up early, had a long flight plus bus trip from Bologna. We also were nervous because it was our first game. When I asked the players to be calm, they realized themselves how to win. Starting from the second quarter we played well. We let the opponents to get closer in the end, but I am sure that was because of our physical conditions, not the lack of concentration. We are on the right way to build an excellent team.
