«Army must be only first!»

Today our team was on reception of Minister of Defense of Russia. CSKA chief Olga Smorodskaya, president of the club Alexander Gomelsky, captain of the team Sergey Panov, players Alexander Bashminov, Sergey Monya and Viktor Khryapa, players of the junior team and Eugeny Pashutin were in the squad of the delegation. Minister Sergey Ivanov congratulated our team and has shown good knowing of the basketball:

- I would like to notice that you again justified our hopes confirming high class and professionalism. It is very pleasant to win gold medals on the road. Know, that not only military men, but also their families are support CSKA. I would like to congratulate all collective of Professional club CSKA. This season was successful for your team and for junior team. This means that the club is on the right way. Our ministry will do our best for sport growing up. I wish you good sport lucky and success in the national championship and in Euroleague Final Four which will host in Moscow next year. Usually hosts of this tournament wins it and CSKA must have only one target – to win it.

Also Alexander Gomelsky, executive director Yury Yurkov, the masseur Asker Bartcho, Eugeny Pashutin and players of the main team were awarded by memorable symbol of 200 years of Ministry of Defense. Other ones were awarded by memorable wrist-watches. Sergey Ivanov was dressed in the champion’s scarf of CSKA on the traditional photo session.
