The schedule after the New Year does not let army men to relax. The team arrived from Berlin on Saturday morning and it will take the floor at 2 pm on Sunday to face Neptunas in VTB League game.
“We remember very well the difficult game we had in Klaipeda”, CSKA head coach Ettore Messina said. “We definitely improved from those times and we are coming out of good Euroleague away victory where the team compensated the absence of several players. Still we have to defend their shooters and control the glass because this two factors and especially Neptunas’ offensive rebounding hurt us in the first game we played.”
CSKA will still miss Andrey Vorontsevich and Zoran Erceg who continue to practice individually. Sonny Weems left to San Antonio on Saturday to consult with the doctors who helped him to rehab after the injury past offseason.
