The game against Triumph in Lyubertsy does not mean much in terms of VTB League standings but it is very important for the fight for Russian league title.
“We play another difficult game after a long trip against an excellent team,” CSKA head coach Ettore Messina said. “Triumph is having a great season and we have to pay a lot of attention to this game, to defend their offensive sets with good ball movement and to limit the number of our turnovers, because they can become a problem like we had in Malaga even in the game we won.”
The team did not follow its tradition and stayed in Malaga after the win against Unicaja. CSKA went back to Moscow after 5 pm and did not practice on the same day. The team did practiced on Saturday with all available players involved.
