Despite the hard schedule army men don’t forget about their promises. Before the home game with Spartak-Primorie CSKA’s captain Victor Khryapa and Olympic champion, chairman of CSKA veterans Sergei Tarakanov during One Team project met with students of the Moscow school No. 24 for orphans and children without parental care. After the event kids invited CSKA players to visit them. Since that time the team managed to get a place in the Euroleague Final Four and win Russian championship. So, after the return from Samara, Sasha Kaun and Andrey Vorontsevich visited their new friends.

As part of Euroleague One Team project CSKA players held a master class for pupils of the school No. 24. All participants gathered in a small school gym. To start Kaun and Vorontsevich trained the kids to shoot from under the basket, from the distance and to make passes. Then they played two games with all participants of the master-class involved. Children showed their maximum and impressed not only the army men but also their school coaches: “Why don’t they play so hard during our school training sessions?” The guys really surprised – they made several three-point shots and blocked shots, lots of spectators could only envy. CSKA representatives played the role of referees, were calling fouls and together with visitors supported children, rewarding each beautiful throw with applause.

CSKA basketball players presented the participants with memorable souvenirs, as well as a full basket of professional balls – a present from Spalding. Jeffrey Ramsey, Head of Spalding Russia, visited the clinic and wished good luck and new sports victories to participants. Children couldn’t let favorite sportsmen leave the school without photos. After that they decided to thank army men by holding their own master-class. One of the pupils of the school began to teach Vorontsevich juggling. Andrey perfectly coped with three balls, with four it was more difficult, as well as with the special rings, but he gave his best. Kids did not let their guests go for a long time, asking questions and greeting them with the recent important wins in Euroleague and Russian Championship.
