CSKA vs. Khimki Moscow Region: 74-65 (+9)
Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:
It was a good win considering the fact that we did not have Victor Khryapa, Milos Teodosic was ejected and Sonny Weems got into foul trouble early. So we played without our leaders for long stretches. In the second half we showed patience on offense, we found balance in our game, defended and rebounded well. I think Khimki hided something for the playoffs but their main players played significant minutes as well as others so I think that was a true game. The performance by Zhenya Voronov was one of the keys to our success. Zhenya was ready for this game, he prepared well for past 2-3 weeks and him playing like today gives more versatility to our Russian unit.
