Quin Snyder:
The decision to leave CSKA was an extremely difficult one. Over the past year I have been very blessed to have an opportunity to work here at CSKA. Not only have I had a chance to work in a first class organization with great tradition but I have had a chance to work with wonderful people. CSKA is like a family. The people in the Club have made this year one that I will always remember. I want to thank President Vatutin for supporting Ettore's decision to bring me to Moscow. There are not many coaches in the US that have ever had such a great opportunity.
Coach Messina has been a close friend and mentor to me. To work for him and learn from him has been a privilege – I will always be grateful to him for extending me this invitation. The one thing that makes me feel good about leaving is that I know I will have a life long relationship with the Club and will have a chance to follow their success in future.
I am excited to join Bud's staff with the Hawks,” Snyder said. “They are creating a system and a culture that I strongly believe in and have seen its success. I look forward to being a part of the organization and contributing to our players' every day improvement.
