Guard Vitaly Fridzon (27 y.o., 195 cm) joined our team. The Russian National Team player signed “2+1” contract.

Andrey Vatutin, PBC CSKA President:
Vitaly is one of the Russian National Team leaders, Olympic bronze winner, great shooter on shooting guard position who is well-known in Europe and who was missed by our team last season. He is a natural fighter also. We know and respect each other for a long time, his desire to move Khimki to a new level was well-esteemed and, in my opinion, Fridzon managed to do that. I am sure that Vitaly’s skills and character will help us reach the highest goals. The players of his level are needed by all the clubs across the continent and I am happy that Vitaly chose CSKA. He is definitely a good addition to our team.

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:
Fridzon was our long-time rival, who was well-respected by our team. He is well-known with his shooting qualities, toughness, ability to defend. I also know Vitaly very well as a National Team player who was playing the leading roles in recent successes for Team Russia. I am happy to welcome him in CSKA.
