Work begins

The first preseason practice took place on USH CSKA main court today.

Though the roster is not full yet our team came out of the holidays. The players had medical examination at GMS Clinic. On the floor is missing only the representatives of the national teams of Russia and Serbia, which will soon have to compete for victory at Eurobasket in Slovenia, as well as Sonny Weems, who was allowed to join the team later. In the coaching staff, the army lacks Benas Matkevicius, located at the headquarters of the Lithuanian national team.

“We will use first three days for what we call physical activation and on Sunday we will start with basketball practices”, – CSKA head coach Ettore Messina said. “From this day and until our departure to Italy for the exhibition games we will have one basketball practice and one physical training, so we will conduct 12 basketball practices. Basically we plan to use the same system as in previous season with obvious adjustments because we have four new players. Three of them we will have from Day 1, and Vitaly Fridzon will join us after the National Team campaign.”

90th jubilee of CSKA affected this season, the fans expect surprises, arena will be decorated with the appropriate design. In addition, army men will get new jubilant uniforms created with elements of retro design. The guys have already appreciated the innovation, soon CSKA will get forms for all the tournaments of the season.
