CSKA American tour moves to culminating point. The team prepares to play the first of two games, tomorrow vs Minnesota.

The army men are now in normal working mode: they practice twice on Sunday, first in the weightlifting room in the hotel, the second one – on the practice court in the small gym in the town of Eagan nearby. To get into the Target Center was impossible because the Minnesota Lynx played the Game 1 of WNBA Finals there.

“It will be a nice game and great experience for us”, CSKA head coach Ettore Messina said. “The Wolves are the solid team with strong big men Love and Pekovic, and they finally have full roster. Being one of the most international teams in the NBA is a help for them I think, because they are versatile, they use a lot of three-point shots and pick-n-rolls, they move the ball well to create space on offense. We will be also happy to see Alexey Shved who's building good career in the NBA. We worked hard these two days so we hope to play a good game and try to win.”

Red-blues had to play shorthanded though. Sonny Weems did not practiced and he will miss the game. The forward had discomfort in his right leg after the flight and the practice on Saturday. The tests did not reveal serious damages but CSKA coaches and doctors decided to be cautious and rest Sonny.
