After taking a breather during Christmas week our team got back to normal regimen on Friday. The game against Neptunas on Monday closes the first leg of VTB League. After the New Year the season moves to the second stage.
The players got back to Moscow after short vacations on Thursday and had two practices on Friday (those who traveled across the Atlantic were allowed to skip the first one).
“We had a good break which fortunately helped the team to rest mentally and physically,” CSKA head coach Ettore Messina said. “Our goal in the game against Neptunas is to win first of all and secondly – to get back to our normal rhythm. Euroleague second stage starts in just 4 days and we have to be ready.”
Andrey Vorontsevich participates in team practices after injury rehab. He remains questionable for the upcoming games.
