Our team's guard Evgeny Voronov will finish this season with Triumph Lybertsy after mutual agreement.

Voronov joined our team before the start of 2011-12 season and has become one of the team's key reserves. Evgeny won two Russian League and two VTB League titles with CSKA. He was also a Russian National Team member and won 2012 Olympics' bronze medal during this period.

In red-blue uniform Voronov played in 83 official games averaging 3.1 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.1 blocked shots in 11 minutes per game.

Andrey Vatutin, CSKA PBC President:
I would like sincerely thank Evgeny for what he did for our club. He is an excellent player, professional, person and teammate. Besides we had great personal relationships, he is a worthy person. We said a number of time about Voronov’s importance for CSKA wins in past two seasons: being a reserve he was always ready to come on the floor, to show the real Army Man character which is needed to succeed. All of us – Evgeny himself, management, coaching staff – understand that the acting Russian National Team player showed have more important role right now. Therefore we came to mutual decision to let him finish the season with Triumph where he has more chances to showcase his skills. I say that with a big share of regret because Voronov’s work during the practices helped our team to improve. I would like to thank Evgeny once again and wish him good luck.

Evgeny Voronov:
I leave CSKA only because I want to play. I feel enough strength and skills to be important for the team. I would like to thank the club’s President Andrey Vatutin for understanding the situation and meeting my wishes. I also would like to thank my teammates, coaches, club staff for great time together. Big thank you to the fans, especially the once who follow the team everywhere and meet us after the games. Good luck to CSKA in reaching all the goals this season. I will follow the team and cheer for it. Hopefully, I say “good bye” and not “farewell”.
