Our team arrived to Kaunas where it will step on the floor of beautiful Zalgirio Arena to face hosts in the Game 9 of the Euroleague Top 16.

“We have utmost respect to Zalgiris which is a good team which plays aggressive defense and which is one of the best in Euroleague in three-point shooting,” CSKA head coach Ettore Messina said. “Besides we have to play on one of the hottest arenas in Europe in front of the fans who really love and understand basketball. We have to stay fully concentrated throughout all 40 minutes to win the game.”

Kaunas breathes with basketball this week. Budivelnik Kiev played a host here on Tuesday: the Eurocup playoffs game vs Nanterre was moved to the gym. The money collected from the ticket sales were sent to the Maydan fights’ victims. And the classical ex-Soviet clash will take place in just two days.

The red-blues arrived to the capitol of Lithuanian basketball with the advanced roster of 13 players. Only the youngest one, Alexander Gudumak stayed in Moscow. Victor Khryapa joined the team’s practices on Tuesday.
