CSKA – Bayern Munich game has become special for the kids from Orphanage School No. 8. The visit was organized as part of the Euroleague One Team project and signaled the new stage of collaboration between our club and the orphanage.

Last week CSKA delegation headed by the Olympic champion, One Team Ambassador Sergey Tarakanov and CSKA Director for Special Events Sergey Ryabets visited Nash Dom (‘Our Home’) Center of Family Education Assistance which includes Orphanage School No. 8, Orphanage School No. 11 and Molodaya Gvardiya Orphanage School. They had a meeting with the organization’s director Vadim Menshov, discussed the details of future collaboration and meet the kids. Sergey Tarakanov had long conversation with the kids, told them about his way in basketball, his successes and difficulties, importance of team discipline and self-discipline, overcoming yourself, support from friends and teachers.

CSKA already conducted several events together with Orphanage School No. 8: the club together with HP Russia equipped one of the classrooms with computers, the players and coaches visited the school, the kids regularly received the presents on different occasions, getting the sports equipment, uniforms, souvenirs and tickets to CSKA games.

The kids did not just supported CSKA during the game on Thursday. After the final buzzer they got the gifts from the club, took multiple pictures with all the team and The Horse and did not let Sergey Tarakanov and Andrey Vorontsevich leave the floor for a long time. The plans for the future include the guide tour of the CSKA headquarters, basketball lessons in USH CSKA and obviously another visits to the team’s games.
