Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:
We just had too many players empty after the loss in the semifinal. Still I’d like to thank the players for their effort, they really tried to win the game and they spent the rest of energy. And I want to thank them for big amount of work done to get to the Final Four.
Alexander Kaun, CSKA center:
It’s hard to play the third place game, especially after such tough loss at Friday. For lots of players it was difficult to keep calm and go fighting. Yesterday the win seemed to be ours but it was not. We lost by ourselves. It emotionally damaged our team. Plus Navarro played a good game.
Nenad Krstic, CSKA center:
We are very disappointed of the loss. I want to say sorry to our fans. I can’t say that we didn’t fight we were just empty after the Friday loss. Second half changed the game like it was with Maccabi – we stopped playing. All players are still in that game mentally. The game against Barcelona meant nothing to us we played for pride. Barcelona wanted beat us more.
