Komolov is a graduate of Trinta Moscow Sports School and an alumnus of our club’s junior project where he played from 2009. Artem started last season in CSKA-2 (23 games, 9.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 26.8 minutes in VTB League; 7 games, 13.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.0 steals, 28.2 minutes in Russian Cup).
Komolov signed new 5-year contract with CSKA this summer and debuted for Russian reserve National Team.
Artem Komolov:
It was great to practice with the National Team this summer. I was not chosen to the main team but I got a chance to experience high level of competition in the camp and enjoyed playing for the second team. I liked to work with coach Karasev: he was clear in setting the tasks and I always knew what to do. It will be interesting to test myself in Zenit, in VTB League. I hope to return to CSKA with new experience and knowledge.
