Our team’s guard Milos Teodosic won the silver medal of FIBA World Cup and earned the election to the tournament’s All-Star Five.

Milos was the main hero of sensational performance by Serbia. The team qualified to the playoffs from the 4th place in its group and subsequently defeated favorites Greece, Brazil and France earning the right to face unequalled Americans in the final game. Teodosic was one of the MVP candidates but lost the chance to receive this individual award after his team was routed by the USA in the deciding game.

In the All-Star Five Milos is accompanied by the NBA players Kyrie Irving, Kenneth Faried (both – USA), Nicola Batum (France) and Pau Gasol (Spain).

Teo’s tournament averages: 13.6 points (69.2% of two-pointers, 47.9% of three-pointers, 81% of free throws), 2.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.9 steals in 27.0 minutes. The point guard was especially effective against Brazil and France in medal round scoring 23 and 24 points respectively.

The silver medal in the first World Cup award for Serbia. Congratulations!
