The last game of the Euroleague regular championship will be devoted by our team to the memory of the Army Men junior Ruslan Gagloyev who tragically died on Monday.

PBC CSKA is grateful to Euroleague and VTB United League – both organizations supported our club’s initiative: all the upcoming games of both tournaments including Eurocup will start from the moments of silence in memory of Ruslan. All the entertainment in USH CSKA will be cancelled o the night.

“I’ll start from the sad part,” Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach said. “We will play in the memory of Ruslan Gagloyev, the kid from our junior project who passed away on Monday. I express my deepest condolences to his family. It is very difficult to find appropriate words. It should not be like this: the kids have to grow up, to have their families, to become parents. But unfortunately the things like this happen in our lives. As for the game it means nothing regarding the results. We are already first and Limoges will continue in Eurocup. Still we face the French league champions and current leaders, they gave us good fight in away game; they were leading by 10 after three quarters before we came back and won the game by 10. The game in Malaga also had no tournament meaning but we gotta respect CSKA organization and our opponents, and this is what we did against Unicaja. You have to justify on the court that you deserve to be on certain level.”

The Army Men will play without three players: Victor Khryapa is recovering from the ankle surgery, while Milos Teodosic and Alexey Zozulin practice individually.
