Long tour of our team continues in Finland. The Army Men travelled there by OrenAir charter today for the VTB League game against the Bisons.

After beating Anadolu Efes in tough road game the red-blues weren’t in hurry to get back home and complicate their schedule with an additional flight. The team had a rest in Istanbul, worked out in the hotel’s gym on Friday, had a night off and practiced on Saturday. Then CSKA went to the airport to take a flight to Finland.

This time only 12 players boarded team’s Boeing: Sonny Weems (left Achilles problem) left to Moscow for recovery on Friday. At the same time Sasha Kaun practiced normally on Saturday after beating virus and high temperature.

“We start the second leg of VTB League regular season with another game on road,” Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach said. “We respect Bizons for their energy in running the breaks, perfect execution in the open court. They improved a lot since our first meeting, the players interact with visible automatism, they use their athleticism very well. We played good, smart basketball against Efes and we should stay realistic, find energy and stay focused through all 40 minutes.“

Our team will get back to Moscow to join the families right after the game.
