Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague President, visited Moscow today. The tour to the new Arena of Legends together with the management of our club was a part of his program in Russian capital.

Andrey Vatutin, PBC CSKA President:
We receive a lot of questions about the arena situation every year. Our dear USH CSKA is definitely comfortable but it does not meet the requirements of modern sport in means of both conditions and regulations. Now the situation is very close to being solved: Moscow will get the new sports hall when the new season starts and we can be proud of that. The Arena of Legends is good enough to host Euroleague games, Final Fours, NBA games, World and European championships. this will be ultra-modern arena. It will be able to host 13.000 spectators in basketball configuration with around 80 luxury suites, giant screen, good lighting, lots of parking space and easy-to-reach. We plan to play the next Euroleague season here, preliminary agreement is reached. Our experience of using Megasport Arena showed that we are able to reach big numbers of attendance when the gym provides all the conditions to work with the fans. This is a good challenge for the club’s management – to have 12-13 thousands fans on the stands. Definitely you can’t solve this task in just one season, this is our maximum goal. I would like to thank the Arena of Legends management which believes in our project. And I am glad that the Euroleague President Jordi Bertomeu had a chance to see by himself the perspective for our club to play on the new arena.
