Anadolu Efes will be our team’s next opponent in the Euroleague Top 16. USH CSKA is already almost sold out – only small number of tickets is left in the office.

“It will be another Top 16 game which we will consider as the final,” CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis said. “Efes’ game starts off the fast and athletic backcourt with Draper, Heurtel, Balbay, Jenning – I can mention all the guards on the team. They play really aggressive defense and run the break with great support from other teammates. Our visitors have great coach and well-established game, they won the Turkish Cup recently by beating Fener. So I expect the game of high intensity, where we have to fight on the boards, play good defense and take care of the ball.”

The Army Men practiced normally after their return from Volgograd. It should be reminded that Manuchar Markoishvili is back and ready to play. Still two Andreys – Vorontsevich and Kirilenko – missed previous game due to minor injuries.

“Relativity” connections

Dusan Ivkovic coached CSKA from 2002 to 2005.
