CSKA forward Andrey Vorontsevich has been named the 2014-15 VTB United League’s top Russian player.
Vorontsevich played 29 games for CSKA during the regular season, averaging 8.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and an efficiency rating of 13.3. The forward also picked up the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award and is one win from capturing another VTB United League title.
Andrey Vorontsevich earns the honor for the first time (Nizhny Novgorod’s Semen Antonov won last season, while CSKA’s Viktor Khryapa took home the prize in 2013). Vorontsevich beat out Khimki forward Sergey Monia and CSKA center Alexander Kaun for the honor.
