Forward Victor Khryapa has signed new 1-year contract with the option for second season.

Victor is the player with bigger experience of playing for CSKA than anyone else on the team. In total he played 10 seasons in red and blue, being the captain during past 6 seasons.

With our team Khryapa won 2008 Euroleague title, 10 Russian League, 5 VTB League titles and Russian Cup, he played in 477 games (387 starts) averaging 7.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.7 blocked shots, 22.8 minutes. The injury made Victor miss significant part of previous season, still he helped the Army Men in the end. In particular, Khryapa was statistically most valuable for the team in the VTB League playoffs with 16.3 PIR.

Andrey Vatutin, CSKA President:
Victor signing happened in the final stage of our selection campaign but it doesn’t say nothing about its importance. Khryapa is our captain, the person with great significance for the club not only as a high-level player but as a man who spent 10 years of his life with CSKA. Coaches and teammates came and went away but Khryapa stayed with us. I know that Victor had some attractive offers after his previous contract expired and I am sincerely happy that he accepted our offer, that he stays with CSKA. I’d like to wish him good health, because he has everything else.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We hope that we will have Victor with us from beginning of the next season, that he will be able to start strong and work hard. With the experience he has I count on him to be my right hand on and off the court.

Victor Khryapa, CSKA forward:
CSKA is a team where I play most of my career. I would like to thank the club as well as my agents Vadim Mikhalevskiy and Obrad Fimic for the work well done and for the quickness in agreeing on all the nuances. I am happy to continue the cooperation which benefits both sides, I want to continue to fight for the highest goals and most important titles, to please the dedicated fans and to distress the opponents with my game. CSKA will always be the first!
