Our team went to Mediterranean coast today to continue its preseason preparation.

New red-blue bus went from USH CSKA to Vnukovo Airport at 9 am. The Army Men flew to Antalya, then took another bus trip to Belek to accommodate in Gloria sports center. The local comfortable sports facility will host a series of practices as well as three games against Turkish teams. By the way, the first game will be broadcasted on the Besiktas TV website. The Muscovites will fly to Istanbul on September 24 to participate in Banvit & Tubad Tournament on Abdi Ipekci Arena.

Camp in Turkey schedule:
September, 18. CSKA – Besiktas, Turkey
September, 20. CSKA – Turk Telekom, Turkey
September, 22. CSKA – Konyaspor, Turkey
Banvit & Tubad Tournament, Istanbul, Turkey
September, 25. CSKA – Anadolu Efes, Turkey
September, 26. Galatasaray, Turkey – CSKA

The Army Men roster was changed for the camp. First of all because the Russian Nationa Team players Vitaly Fridzon, Nikita Kurbanov and Andrey Vorontsevich joined the team. At the same time the number of juniors was decreased. The coaching staff took just three CSKA-2 players to Turkey – Alexander Burov, Alexander Gavrilov and Mikhail Maleyko. Joel Freeland and Victor Khryapa who continue their rehab after injuries are with the team hoping to get back to practices soon.

“I said that to the team after the practice on Tuesday and I’d like to repeat: we thank the guys from our second team for their hard work and dedication,” CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis. – “I would like to say thank you to Alexander Kurbatov, Artem Vostrikov, Evgeny Yudin and Kirill Zakharov. And to wish good luck specifically to Alexander Gankevich who will play in Ural this season but worked with us during this camp. We are paying big attention to all our young players and the whole junior project in all ages. I hope and I count that many of the guys will be able to strengthen our main team soon.”

CSKA will get back to Moscow on September 28.
