Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
Congratulations to the team. We have specific month with a lot of away games, so most of the players are tired. Both teams started hot on offense and played not their best defense. In the second quarter we used matchup zone and allowed Zenit to score just 9 points. In the third we let them many easy things, they started to play more aggressive, Timma and Toolson were hot at home as we expected, Zenit had many second chance opportunities due to their offensive rebounding. It is good experience to play this kind of game in the end, though this is not the thing you want to be repeated often. This moments showed that we can play almost perfect when it is needed. The same happened in the last 46 second of our home game against Laboral Kutxa when we fought for the point difference: we spread the floor, we defended like we have more players on the floor. I give credit to Zenit, good team and great organization, they fought until the end. It is our pleasure to come to St.Petersburg and play on this excellent arena. I would like also to thank our fans who came here in big numbers and helped us.
