Zalgiris stays last in the ’group of death’ but the outsider position makes them relaxed. Our team is ready for the difficult game on Friday.

“It is our last home game in a very competitive Top 16 group and now, before this week games started, we need a win to secure home court advantage,” CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis said. “But that does not stop here. We have to continue improving and play well to reach other goals that we have this season. Zalgiris has no pressure in this game so the players can show their best qualities. Their point of emphasis is definitely down on the block where they have some good performers. But overall our opponents are the high-intensity team that ready to play physical and does not avoid contact. We have to be concentrated and motivated. I really hope that our fans will come and help us. We have to use the advantage of our home court as most of European teams do with the help of their fans. And our fans proved several times this year that they can provide top-level support.”

The Army Men prepared for the game regularly. Victor Khryapa (broken wrist) and Joel Freeland (shoulder) stay out.
