The Frenchman joined CSKA in 2014 and appeared as one of the Army Men leaders. De Colo helped the team to win all titles last season while taking almost all possible individual awards. Nando got Alphonso Ford Trophy (Euroleague Best Scorer), Euroleague season and Final Four MVPs, VTB United League regular season MVP. In his two years with the team De Colo played in 123 games for CSKA averaging 16.2 points (54.4% two-pointers, 44.0% three-pointers, 92.4% free throws), 3.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 24.5 minutes. He has the top position between all modern-history CSKA players in PIR (19.2).
Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
I can say only good things about Nando. He immediately adopted the role that the coaches asked him to perform. He is an important factor of the success we had all together. We are happy to have him for another three years. I wish him and his family to stay healthy to come back to Moscow with even bigger motivation. We already talked with Nando and we said once again about what was written at the back of our championship T-shirts: “hungry for more”; and we will continue to work hard to be ready and motivated next season.
Nando De Colo, CSKA guard:
I am very happy to continue playing for CSKA. It wasn’t a tough decision to take. I came back to Europe to play, to use the opportunities and carry more responsibility day-by-day. This is what I did, what I had here with the club. This year we had an amazing season. And this is what I want: to play, to do it for the best team in Europe and to be one of the leaders of this team. This is what is the most important for me, this is why I signed with CSKA.
