The second day of annual Euroleague coaching meeting was dedicated to discussing the refereeing and rules issues.

“We talked basketball and officiating,” CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis said. “The main thing that will make tremendous change in the game will be extending of number of cases when the unsportsmanlike foul is called. There will be no possibility to tactically foul the player without attempting to reach the ball anymore. Any foul in transition when you are not playing on the ball, when you are not playing with your torso will result into 2 free throws and ball possession. That’s the enormous change. Definitely the main idea of Richard Stokes and tournament management is to clear the game, to exclude extra contact; we also talked about traveling, about behavior issues, 3-second violations. There were 12 head coaches out of 16 possible, and we were unanimous in our opinions and that’s a good thing. We had good atmosphere, we enjoyed good conversations, we exchanged ideas.”
