Our club used the contract option to keep the guard Dmitry Kulagin (24 y.o., 197 cm).

One of the most promising players in modern Russian basketball joined our team in the summer of 2015 signing 1+2 contract. This year the sides agreed to change the terms of the contract that is now valid until the end of 2016-17 season.

Dmitry played important roles in many games of the last season. Kulagin Sr. played in 49 games; the most memorable ones include home win vs Barcelona where the Euroleague newcomer scored 10 points and dished 3 assists, he scored the buzzer-beater before the halftime of the away game in Malaga and played selfless defense in the final game vs Fenerbahce.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
It will be the second year for Dima with us. We definitely expect more from him. It should be noted that we consider him a creator with the ball, from the post, off the pick-and-rolls, and he can create from three positions. We want him to improve his versatile style of playing. It is important that Dima wanted to stay and fight for the position on the team through the competition that we have, and that shows me something.

Dmitry Kulagin, CSKA guard:
I am glad to stay on the best team, to continue winning and working together with best coaches, teammates and management. I want to prove that I am able to improve, to grow professionally with CSKA. I wish all of us good luck next season!
