With shortened rotation our team did not manage to finish the Greek part of preseason with no losses. The victory went to jubilant Diamantidis and his team.

Panathinaikos Athens vs. CSKA: 80-73 (-7)

Panathinaikos: Singleton (8 + 4 rb + 3 st), Nichols (9 + 4 rb + 3 bs), Rivers (6 + 4 rb + 4 pf), James (8 + 6 as + 4 st), Pappas (9 + 3 rb), Gist (8), Bourousis (18 + 5 rb + 4 as + 5 to), Calathes (14)…

CSKA: De Colo (13 + 4 as), Teodosic (5 + 3 rb + 5 as), Augustine (18 + 4 rb), Fridzon (8), Jackson (5 + 3 rb), Lazarev (6 + 2 bs + 5 pf), Higgins (6), Khryapa (6 + 5 rb + 3 to), Kurbanov (6 + 3 rb)…

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
It was very special. I worked with Mitso many years, we have won titles together, we lost games together. Our relations that were built through the years are unique and important. I am proud that we worked together all those years, that he developed as a player and a person next to me, created nice family with his wife and two kids. He is an idol over here, he fully deserved everything that Panathinaikos organized for him, the applause from the fans. He is the model to follow for the youngsters. I wish him all the best in his life, I think and I wish him to stay in basketball. Regarding our tournament: definitely short rotation and overtime that we had to play yesterday costed us an energy in the end. Panathinaikos put the pressure on our guards, forced turnovers. We lacked freshness. We wait to have some days off, our National Team players to join us, our injured players to be back healthy.
