The 2016-17 season officially starts for our team tomorrow. The Army Men’s first two games will take place to East – against Enisey and Astana.

“We start our new season in VTB League with a road trip, two almost back-to-back games in Krasnoyarsk and Astana,” CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis said. “Enisey kept several players from its core but also added some newcomers like Waynes and Elegar. They are good athletic team which runs the floor well and we had a chance to watch their preparation games on video. I hope that our players will approach the game with focus, dedication and motivation. We know who we are and what we have to defend this season. Despite all our injuries it is very important to have good start.”

Two CSKA teams boarded the Rossiya Airlines charter flight on Wednesday. The juniors also start their season in Krasnoyarsk.

The Army Men will not play on famous Ivan Yarygin Arena for the first time ever. Enisey will host CSKA on small and colder Arena-Sever.
