Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
I want to congratulate my team on this road win. We were preparing for such a game, expecting a fight. Unicaja is a team with a lot of intensity on both ends, and they play at home with an amazing crowd. We opened the game focused, containing their creators, and shrunk the floor with the pressure. And we took care of the ball. If we talk about this point, turnovers, because of Malaga’s pressure they outscored us in the second and third quarters 49-36 when we had 14 turnovers. But we outscored them 53-31 in the first and fourth quarters, when we had 4 turnovers. I told my players the difference was how much we can take care of the ball, and the double teams they are trying to do, and finding the right spots to create and execute. We had 63% on two-point shots, and we were focused shooting free throws. There are no easy games in EuroLeague. You might go out there and outrun, outplay and outscore someone, but it is a tough league, where everyone can compete.
