Our club continues a series of clinics in the Boarding school of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for girls as part of One Team, the joint social project of the EuroLeague and clubs.

This time, the clinic, hosted by One Team manager and coach, Yakov Tarasov, was devoted to the development of the team “chemistry” of a group of sixth-graders. The clinic started with a traditional warm-up, which helps to prevent injuries, the girls remembered the previous lessons well, so with the second part of the warm-up, stretching, they coped excellently. Further, they performed drills that develop mutual understanding in the team. The girls were divided into two groups. In the first drill, the cadettes in one of the groups divided in pairs, where one participant had to go through live barriers with her eyes closed, and the second one was helping her with hands on shoulders and indicate the right way. Barriers in the form of another group of girls had to make noise and block the path. On the question of the coach of the clinic, what is the most important in basketball, the cadettes responded – shot, pass, friendship, and after the exercise – to understand each other. The next drill was the competition of free throws to work out the support of the partner. All the same two teams had to make 10 shots into the basket as quickly as possible, while supporting each shooter of the group – loudly and with enthusiasm. While leaving the clinic, the girls discussed with each other “I wish every lesson to be like this!”
