Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
Congratulations to the team, we closed the regular season with the victory. It was a good performance under all circumstances. We had bad start though we prepared to play aggressive from the very beginning to use our wingspan. We managed to take the lead in the second quarter but again could not keep it, we received big basket from the middle of the court and went to the locker room having “minus 7”. We understood that we have to change a lot, and we changed immediately, we shared the ball better, we had open looks, we were effective. Obviously, we have different opponents in different games, we have to be like a chameleon, to adjust to what we have, to read the situations. We dictated the tempo in the second half, we forced 20 turnovers overall. We had good movements, we found the chances for Othello, for shooters, Vitaly and Chacho. Regarding 100 wins, they are important and I would like to congratulate everyone, especially the players but also the coaching staff, management, sponsors. Everyone through this 4 years contributed, we were focused to bring wins for CSKA, to be a part of the club’s history. It is an important achievement but we have to move forward, to different goals.
