CSKA vs UNICS Kazan: 76-71

CSKA controlled the match for 40 minutes. But the leadership of the team was not overwhelming. The maximum difference between two teams was 16 points. UNIKS tried to put pressure on the rival in beginning of the the second half and almost succeded – 52-50 after the 3rd quarter. But CSKA pull itself together and brought the margin between the teams back to 10 points just in 2 minutes.

The last attempt of UNIKS to win the game came in the very end. But the tactical fouls did not bring any result – 76-71.

CSKA is going to play the next game on 27th of December against Sibirtelecom at CSKA Sports Hall.

The head coach of CSKA Dusan Ivkovic:

I think that this game was not on the level that our spectators expected. Too many mistakes, but we deserved this victory. CSKA controlled the game good in the first half, played food in the defence. But I want to say that the work of the table and officials is inadmissible. Moy work is coaching players but such work of the table makes my team nervious.

I want to congratulate CSKA with this win. The worsest thing that we received first serious injury. Antonio Granger receivedthe hit to the knee. Tomorrow we will become know the level of the injury.

The head coach of UNICS Stanislav Eremin:

Today we lose because we were worse in all components - in game organization, in the fight under boards, in the throws and in the leaders game. In the critical moment Marcuw Brown took the game and increased advantage. Today CSKA did not play on 100%, but we have shown not our best game too. We lose because of the good defence of hosts and because some my players did not play free against such big names in opponents roster.
