Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
Congratulations to the team, we were better tonight and deserved to win. Premiere is a premiere, it was important for us to see how we look in the official games after the preseason where we missed players due to injuries and the national team obligations. In each quarter we did not let Yenisey score 20 points, in the third game in a row we forced big number of turnovers – Efes had 23, Yenisey 17. At the same time we made 25 assists and rebounded well. Maybe we missed some quickness and automatism in executing our plays, but it will come with practicing. I am happy for our young guys, Khomenko and Lopatin, they know the system and they played with courage. Congratulations also to Hackett and Ukhov – Ivan couldn’t make a shot today but Nando let him score on the fast break when he could score himself, and that says a lot about our team spirit.
