Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We were the better team on the court tonight and deserved congratulations. We did what we were supposed to do and played well on both ends of the floor. The stats say we didn’t defend very well against fast breaks and allowed our opponent to score 16 points in transition. At the start, we struggled on the perimeter, allowing them to hit five 3-pointers in a row. After that, we played good defense, forced turnovers and grabbed 17 offensive rebounds, almost as many as our opponent collected in total, 19. We showed desire in the 2nd half and looked completely different. At the same time, we committed 17 turnovers. That’s what we need to work on: spacing on offense. Plus, we allowed Will, Cory and Kyle to rest and had fewer foreign players available for the game than we were allowed under the limit. We shared the playing time. Misha Kulagin played more than anyone else with 26 minutes.
