Our club continues participation in One Team, the joint social project of the EuroLeague and the clubs.
In February PBC CSKA will hold a series of thematic practices and clinics in the Boarding School of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The school is for the daughters of servicemen who serve in remote military garrisons, children coming from incomplete and large families, children of deceased servicemen and participants of military operations awarded with state awards for military duty.
We would like to remind everyone, that last week a pleasant event was held: the basketball class of the Boarding School was named after the Olympic champion, chairman of the Board of veterans of our club and the One Team ambassador Sergey Tarakanov.
Ambitions became a subject of the first February class. At the beginning of the clinic the One Team coach and manager Yakov Tarasov asked a question, what does it mean – to have ambitions? The girls gave different opinions, all in fact were correct. Aspiration to success is an important part of work for any athlete, as well as the ability to set the goals. All exercises offered to the girls were aimed at the development of these skills. The coach told how it’s important not to overestimate your abilities, but to believe in yourself and your future success. Pupils of the Board noted that the same qualities will be useful to them not only in sport, but also in the future when they choose a profession.
