Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
Congratulations to the team with the way we won, with the series, qualification to the Final Four. I would like also to congratulate Baskonia, its great players and coach, organization, city, true fans of the game. They were up 3.5 quarters, they were making shots, running, diving, doing their things. We talked in the halftime and in those timeout when we sent the camera away: are we going to give up and not believing? But no, I looked into their eyes and I saw the desire. We started off defense, we played switches and Baskonia lost its strengths. Poirier and Shengelia could not post us up, rebound. We believed in what we are doing. Hustle, spirit, toughness, competitiveness, awareness showed us the way. The series proved once again that playoffs are not an easy road, nothing is given here. Now I can joke that we will know the court better than others in the Final Four.
